RKJ organizes seminar 11/20/2015 12:09:13 AM Jammu, Nov 19: Radio Kashmir Jammu today organised a seminar in connection with Beti Padhao Beti Bachao on National Integration Day at Govt. Higher Secondary School Rajpura, Dist.Samba which is situated adjacent to international border.It was the first of its kind programme for the school children of this place in which the staff and children participated with great enthusiasm. The programme was also a source of much relief and happiness for the students of the area who often face the assault of hostile neighbor every second day. The programme started with the welcome address by the Principal Ashok Kumar Khajuria who not only welcomed everyone but showered praises on the valiant effort of Radio Kashmir Jammu to reach out to such places, an effort that will enthuse a lot of confidence among these students. Station Director Radio Kashmir Jammu V.K.Sambyal, in his address stressed upon the role of radio as a public service broadcaster and promised for providing such kind of support to many such listeners in future as well. Bhartendu Sharma, Sarpanch of panchayat Rajpura was the chief guest on the occasion and he also appreciated the role of the school administration and Radio Kashmir Jammu for organising such a programme at this far flung border village.B.D.O R.D Sharma was also present on the occasion and complemented the two organisations for such an effort. Neha Sharma, Mona Sharma and Monika Sharma, recited poetry on the theme of national Integration. Patriotic group songs were also presented by the students of the school.
