Carmel Convent celebrates 'School Day and Children Day' 11/20/2015 12:13:28 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 19: Carmel Convent High School-Kunjwani, today celebrated School Day and Children Day here today in which students and teachers participated with great enthusiasm. The activities started with lighting of traditional lamp followed by beautiful prayer dance followed by day long programme including the scintillating performance of students of VII Class who stole the show when they recreated the life of Mother Veronica - the foundress of Apostolic Carmel Congregation -through an inspiring play. The activities of School Day witnessed simultaneous cultural and fun activities organized as the part of of Children's Day programme which also created an ambiance of great enthusiasm and team spirit. "The teachers entertained their students by putting up a colourful programme which included many games, school spokesperson said, and added, "children left people spell bound not only by their participation in games but also by staging a skit sending a message of 'cleanliness' - which is next to 'Godliness'. During the 'Literary Week', the students participated in the house wise contest and displayed their latent talents through 'one act play', which was won by Sneha House. On this occasion Principal- Sr.Maria Suzette A C blessed the students and in her addressed she exhorted tem to be good citizen and human being to build a better society. She also distributed the prizes to the winners of today's competitions.
