Court denies bail in 'minor's rape' case | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: Presiding Officer Fast Track court Y P Kotwal rejected the bail application of one Kapoor Raj Pura Chack, Mandal Phallan of District Jammu who was allegedly involved in rape with minor relative. After hearing Additional Public Prosecutor Sarwesh Kumar for the state whereas Adv Ashok Sharma appearing for the accused person the court observed rape is one of the most heinous crime committed against a woman as rapist not only violates the victim's privacy and personal integrity but inevitably causes serious psychological as well as physical harm in the process. Court further observed that the nature of offence attributed to the applicant/accused, and stage of investigation in case accused will be released on bail he will jump over the bail and hamper and tamper with the prosecution witnesses. With these observations court rejected the bail application. As per police case that on 19/10/2015 at about 11:00 am in the morning while the victim aged 16 years was alone in her house, accused Kapoor Raj, (applicant herein) who is relative of the victim came to their house and committed rape on her. Later mother of the victim lodged a written report in Police Station, Jhajjar Kotli and accordingly FIR NO. 124/2015 for offence under section 376 RPC came to be registered against the accused.
