Camping at Delhi, Jugal trying for second term as BJP chief | | | Early Times Report jammu, Nov 20: With countdown has already started for new State president, the incumbent State chief of BJP, Jugal Kishore Sharma has been camping in New Delhi for the last five days to ensure his continuation on the top post. Credible sources in the BJP said that publically Jugal Kishore Sharma has not shown any interest to continue as State president but internally he is trying his best for second term. Most of the BJP leaders are unaware that Jugal Kishore Sharma is camping at New Delhi to manage support of his political mentors at Union Capital. Sharma's political advisors advised him to remain in the fray because in case of any confusion party leadership will be left with no other option but to repeat him. Credible sources in the BJP said that till date is no consensus among BJP leadership about name of new president. It is all due to lack of consensus among party leaders that Jugal Kishore's supporters have suggested him to utilize all resources to remain in the race of president. "A senior Central leader of BJP has reportedly assured Jugal Kishore that if party leadership failed to evolve consensus on the name of new State president, he would ensure his continuation", sources said and revealed that Jugal Kishore Sharma has already appointed a number of his supporters as district presidents, who are going to play very important and crucial role in the appointment of new president. Meanwhile, sources said that BJP leadership is trying to evolve consensus on the name of new State president but so far party leadership has failed in its effort. Half a dozen leaders are staking their claims for the post of new State president. |
