Govt Polytechnic Jammu holds AIDS awareness program 11/26/2015 11:18:23 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Polytechnic Jammu today organized AIDS awareness program to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS among the students. The program was inaugurated by lightening of lamp and key note address by Er. Ritu Jamwal, Principal of the Institute. She appreciated the enthusiasm of the students for showing their interest in such an enlightening program. A Symposium and Poster Making competition was held in which students of various streams participated. The competition was held in order to spread awareness about AIDS and its preventions through power point presentations and posters. The poster making competition was won by Mahima Sharma of Civil Engineering followed by Jatin Dubey of Civil Engineering and Ram Avtar of Mechanical Engineering. The Symposium competiton was won by Mahima Sharma of Civil Engineering followed by Nahida Malik of Computer Engineering and Aqib Rashid of Electrical Engineering. In all it was an informative program. The event was organized by Er. Khalid Sheikh and Er. Sakshi Kapahi, nodal officers for Red Ribbon. Others present on the occasion were Er. K S Bhatia HOD Mechanical Er. Deepika Sharma Lecturer Computer Engineering, Er. Rishabh Gupta and Er. Mohd.
