| Local shopkeepers terrorized by Legislator's wife | | Complaints to police, BJP leadership bears no fruits | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: Wife of a BJP legislator is hitting headlines these days for shopping in city showrooms and decamping without making any payments for the expensive items bought.
Sources divulge that legislator's wife enters show rooms along with personal security staff; bluntly asserts her position and then decamps with the purchased goods without making any payments. "Those who ask for payments are intimidated and when a couple of shopkeepers sent their representatives to legislator's house for payments, they were threatened and turned out" said a eminent show room owner of the city.
"The wife of the legislator carefully selects the showroom in the area represented by her husband and then follows the same modus operandi" said another shopkeeper narrating, "On an earlier occasion, objections were raised by the shopkeepers who were duped by legislator's wife, but the payments were not made to the claimants".
Recently, the repeated misadventures of the legislator's wife were reported to Police also, but no action was initiated for obvious reasons. "The matter has been brought in the notice of senior leaders of State BJP, but that too does not seem to be working" he added. |
