Cultural Academy celebrates World Heritage Week | | | Early Times Report Doda, Nov 26: To observe the World Heritage Week which is being celebrated globally from 19thNov to 25th Nov, the Jammu Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sub Office Doda organized a folk music and dance programme at GHSS Boys Doda. According to press release, the programme was marked to celebrate the rich culture and hertitage of a place. Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik was the Chief Guest while ACR Vaibhav Kohli was the Guest of Honor besides Principal GHSS Boys Tanvir Ahmed Wani and Tehsildar Gundna were the special guests on the occasion. While welcoming the guests and other audience, Cultural Officer Sub Office Doda Sheikh Slah ud Din put light on the overall scenario of the heritage of Chenab region which inudes Siraj, Bhaderwahi culture etc and stressed to be preserved it for the next generation. Slah Ud Din further said that the the heritage week will showcase the rich cultural tradition and heritage of the area through its folk music and dance and aimed at providing platform to the artists and srudents to show their cultural ethos and talent. Principal GHSS Boys Doda Tanvir Ahmed Wani also spoke on the occasion and highlighted few points that how to preserve the century old heritage and culture of this region. |
