PIS organizes speaking competition | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Nov. 26: The Pathways International School, Kathua organized an interclass extempore speaking competition on the occasion of World Television Day. The students from Class 1st to Class 5th participated in the competition and spoke on the Merits and Demerits of Television. Divij Suri of the school was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Anita Arora (Chairperson NAVAJ foundation NGO)and Rashim Anand (Director Education Express) were the special Guest. The students were given topics related to Television, and they spoke on the topic for three minutes. The students were judged on the basis of their presentation, spoken skills, vocabulary, pronunciation and stage confidence. Winners were awarded with Certificates and trophies. Dilpreet from Class 2nd Stood First, Tavleen of Class 2nd stood 2nd, Niharika Class 3rd Stood 3rd and Nitisha Sharma & Deepika Sharma from Class 5 were awarded with certificate of merit . Speaking on the occasion Kunal Anand Principal Pathways International School, said the extempore speaking is a very good idea to enable children to express their views without any prior preparation. This enhances their spoken skills and also logical thinking towards that topic. Divij Suri appreciated the effort put in by the students and educators of the school for demonstrating such a grand show.
