JAMMU, Nov 26: A condolence meeting of District Congress Committee Jammu (U) was held today at PCC HQ. Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu under the presidentship of Anil Chopra-President, to condole the sad and untimely demise of Maya Devi mother of Pawan Dev Singh-president Block Congress Committee, Upper Jammu East.
All the members of district, block and ward committees paid rich tribute to such a noble soul.
While speaking in the meeting Chopra described her as quite popular lady amongst the poor and needy. Two minutes silence was observed in the meeting and it was prayed to almighty God to grant peace to the departed soul in the heaven and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
