| Subordinates thrash EO Hajin MC in his chamber | | | S. Tahir-ul Haq

bandipora, Nov 26: Executive officer Municipal committee Hajin in Bandipora district was manhandled and roughed up by his subordinates at his office chambers.
Sources told Early Times that some people forced entry into the chamber of Executive officer and hurled choicest abuses and fire pot (Kangri) on him.
Sources quoting the officer said that, "for the first time I have faced such type of humiliation in my career. These people who are the supporters of a PDP MLC slapped and dragged me."
These people have been illegally appointed as daily wagers in Municipal Council in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and against whom the enquiry has not been completed yet and furthermore, I have been pressurized to draw their salary and if they will get a salary others will demand the same as well, sources quoting said Executive officer.
However the official has alleged that a day before the assault, the MLC rang him up on his mobile and threatened him of dire consequences in case salaries were not released in favour of his supporters.
Officer said that, the MLC not only abused him on phone but also threatened him of dire consequences, adding that he (Officer) has approached police and lodged a complaint against the assailants.
Police have registered a case vide FIR No and counter FIR No 76 and 77/2015 in this regard.
Meanwhile according to sources, the MLC has refuted the allegations and said that the said executive officer is in not people friendly and intentionally deprive daily wagers from their salaries.
There are various scandals in the government offices in Bandipora district which have not come to fore due to various reasons, sources alleged.
Meanwhile, all attempts to contact the MLC went in vain. |
