DC Kishtwar orders termination of 3 absentee NRHM Doctors | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 26: A day after three people died and three other injured in a tragic accident at Purana Kadal Marwah in Kishtwar District, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan today order termination of three Doctors working under centrally sponsored scheme National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for remaining absent from their duties on the day when critically injured patients were shifted to Community Health Center Nawapanchi and later were airlifted to GMC Jammu after army doctors provide them first aid treatment. As per the details available with "Early Times", DC Kishtwar vide Order No. DCK/Adm/15/2482-83 Dated 26-11-2015order immediate termination of all the three doctors posted in Marwah far remaining absent from their duties. "As per the communication received by this office from Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar Vide Letter No :- CMO/K/NRHM/1146-52 Dated :- 26-11-2015, the doctors namely Dr. Arshad Rafiq, Dr. Nainsila Kumari & Dr. Shazad Ahmed all Medical Officers (MBBS) working under NRHM at CHC Marwah Block Dachhan were reportedly found as unauthorized absent from their duties on the fateful day (24-11-2015) of accident at Marwah and have been terminated from their services with an immediate effect vide Order No :- CMO/K/NRHM/1146-52 Dated :- 26-11-2015" read DC Kishtwar order address to Divisional Commissioner Jammu. The action in this regard was taken after it was come into the notice of DC Kishtwar that doctors posted at CHC Marwah were absent when the accident took place, a detailed communication was sent to Chief medical Officer Kishtwar Vide Letter No :- DCK/Admn/15/2471 Dated : 26-11-2015 related to the unauthorized absence of doctors and accordingly CMO Kishtwar submitted its report to DC Kishtwar authenticating the reports of absent of three doctors from duty. The local people hails the efforts of District administration for taking strict action against the absentees doctors and urged upon the administration and the government to post regular staff at CHC Marwah so that people of this far flung areas where there is no proper road connectivity, no telecommunication and no electricity was available to the people, beside the population living in this area are poor. |
