Early Times Report Rajouri, Dec 20: A major negligence on the part of senior officers of education department came to fore after a private school was found 'missing' in Sunderbani. While it existed only on papers, on ground, it existed nowhere. A team led by Principal, DIET, Rajouri, Pardeep Kumar Sharma paid a surprise visit to ZEO office, Sunderbani, to get information about Nehru Basic Memorial School, a private institution. The other team members included HoD Ashok Kumar and senior lecturer Mohammad Hanief Bhatti, according to an official handout issued here today. The school's RR and examination forms, besides T1 test of 11 students, were sent to DIET duly signed by the ZEO, Sunderbani, and endorsed by Principal HSS, Sunderbani. However, after DIET received secret information about the suspicious functioning of the school, the team reached the office of ZEO, Sunderbani, to find out the truth. On verification, it was found that no such school existed on ground, the handout said. Taking a strong note of it, DIET, Rajouri, has recommended the case to senior authorities to immediately cancel the school registration and also take action against those officers of the department who were marking the school documents without verifying whether the school actually existed or not. "ZEO, Sunderbani, has been asked to furnish his report with physical existence of the school otherwise RR and other details of 11 students of 8th class will be cancelled," the handout said. Similarly, during inspection of High School Lower, it was found that the Map of India (political) was painted on a wall outside the office of Head Master in which only 26 states were shown, which is a wrong information. Taking a cognizance of it, the DIET Principal pasted a blank sheet on the painted portion and also directed school authorities to update the map. |
