JAMMU, Dec 20: Jammu and Kashmir Police clinched the IIIrd Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna Memorial Hockey Tournament beating the visiting side of Pathankot XI 3-1 in the final played at KK Hakhu Stadium, here today.
Sunil Kalsotra struck twice for the J&K Police sounding the board in the seventh and 29th minute of the match. Jaspreet Singh Jimmy was other scorer, who netted the ball in the seventh minute.
In the final and valedictory function, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa was chief guest, who gave away the title trophies. Jarnail Singh (MD Peaks Auto) and Madam Surjeet Kour were guests of honour.
Among others present were Gurmeet Singh, Swaran Singh (ARTO), Neter Bhandari, Amreek Singh and Rajinder Singh Raja.
Tejinder Singh Wazir was organising secretary while technical penal included Charanjeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Joginder Singh and Daljit Singh Bhatia. |
