JAMMU, Dec 20: State's No. 1 Academy for competitive examinations, SR College of Competitions today conducted comprehensive workshops for different optional subjects for IAS and KAS examinations at College premises, here. The concerned teachers, including those visiting faculty from New Delhi, deliberated upon various topics focusing on the ultimate target of cracking the IAS and KAS examinations. The optional subjects covered under today's workshop were Public Administration, Political Science, History and Urdu. "We touched various topics pertaining to the UPSC and JKPSC examinations and discussed the pattern of questions asked during past couple of years and also guided the target students the means and ways to give answer so as to grab maximum marks," said faculty of Public Administration from New Delhi, Gautam Pandey. Part of the team, R K Jha of Political Science discussed the subject in the present context and those important issues which could be asked for in the UPSC examination. A permanent Political Science faculty of the SR College, Jha motivated the students in taking up the ultimate challenge of passing the competitive examination. A good number of students turned up for all these four optional subjects and sought answers to numerous queries, which, however, were replied by the faculty to their satisfaction. "It is our endeavour to involve more and more local young men and women into the preparation for competitive examinations of IAS and KAS. Today's workshop was one of the many initiatives being taken by the institute to guide the state students aiming at cracking the UPSC and JKPSC exams," informed Director of the SR College of Competitions, Praveen Sharma. |
