Jammu, Jan 24 : Gujjar Bakerwal Students Federation (GBSF) appealed to Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ), Sumita Sethi to declare holidays to small school going children upto class 5th here today.
According to press release, President of Gujjar Bakerwal Students Federation Choudhary Naseeb Ali demanded winter vacations in summer zone schools of Jammu Province as severe cold wave continues to prevail in the region.
Ali accused the Education department for being cruel on little school going children by not extending the winter vacations as they are forced to go to schools under chilly and foggy conditions in the coldest period of the season as there is no proper arrangements of heaters or other heating equipments in the class rooms of small going children.
Naseeb Ali also appealed to Governor NN Vohra to look into the matter concerning the health of small children, and direct to Education department to extend winter holidays in Jammu. |
