Ram Madhav's wings to be clipped | | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 24: After his election as full term BJP national president Amit Shah is likely to restart the process to open channel of communication with PDP to again form coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir which is under the Governor’s rule after the death of late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Amit Shah is likely to appoint a team of leaders to start negotiations with PDP as there is lot of resentment against Ram Madhav, the national general secretary of the BJP who had played a key role in formation of earlier Government with PDP. Credible sources in the BJP said that Amit Shah is already facing pressure from a group within BJP to sideline Ram Madhav from the affairs of a sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir because instead of taking feedback from party workers of Jammu and Kashmir Ram Madhav is taking decisions unilaterally. A group of hardcore BJP workers is of the view that Ram Madhav's only aim is form government in J&K to prove his capability but he is least concerned about wishes and aspirations of the committed workers who have been associated with the party since 1950s. These hardcore BJP workers have conveyed to the high command that during 2014 assembly polls, Ram Madhav had abandoned key issues of the party just to keep some Valley based parties in good humour. And during negotiations for writing the document for governing the government, Ram Madhav also had compromised with key issues like citizenships to West Pakistani refugees. Furthermore, Ram Madhav had miserably failed to convince his friend Dr Haseeb Drabu, who was Finance Minister in the government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, to with draw the controversial order of "Jaziya". Credible sources in the BJP said that party leadership is seriously thinking to replace Ram Madhav with another seasoned BJP leader, who could also address wishes and aspirations of the party workers while negotiating with PDP to form Government. Credible sources said that instead of giving responsibility to a single leader to hold negotiations for government formation, BJP is likely to appoint a name of leaders to start dialogue with PDP. |
