| Book Geelani for his Islamic State doctrine | | |

JAMMU, Jan 24: Pro-Pakistani Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who, along with other Kashmiri fanatics, has been responsible for the conversion of Kashmir into a one-religion region and religious cleansing of non-Muslims, should have been behind bars by now, but the Governor administration has acted otherwise and allowed him to spit venom on non-Muslims and advocate his pernicious views on the non-Muslims.
On Saturday, Geelani not only advocated the need for converting the whole world into Islamic State but also identified himself completely with Pakistan.
Geelani on Saturday in his highly nasty and provocative written statement said that "the establishment of Khilafat Islami (Islamic State) is the dream and desire of every true Muslim of the world" and that "peace and stability in the world is the prime and basic goal of Islam and the level of respect and protection which Islam provides to human lives is impossible to find anywhere else".
Clearly, he abused and insulted all other religions, thus outraging the religious sensitivities of all the non-Muslims, including the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Sikhs and the Christians of Jammu and Kashmir, who constitute more than 40 per cent of the state's population and occupy more than 88 per cent of the state's land area. What Geelani said was highly outrageous and inflammatory and he should have been booked and put behind bars then and there. By not initiating criminal proceedings against him or by not booking him for his hate-campaign against the non-Muslims, the Governor administration has only disappointed and shocked the already rather oppressed, suppressed and discriminated against minorities in the state.
As for Pakistan, Geelani said: "There has been some weaknesses and leniency on the part of Pakistan with regard to Kashmir dispute and we at times also point out those mistakes but it never meant that Pakistan is against the freedom of Kashmiris and it any way accepts the forced occupation of India over this region." "Pakistan has immensely suffered for supporting the right to self-determination demand of Kashmiri people and due to which this country was bifurcated into two. It is only the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Army of this nation who are openly and fearlessly supporting the freedom of Kashmiri people so there is no truth in this notion that Pakistan is using the Kashmiris," he further said in his statement.
Now that Geelani is on record having openly preached his pernicious Islamic State doctrine and identified himself with Pakistan, it is time for New Delhi and its representative in Jammu and Kashmir, Governor, to discharge their obligations towards the Indian State and reassure the non-Muslims in the state that they shall be protected against the radical Islamic forces and Kashmir Valley be cleansed of Geelani and his ilk using all available means. The custodians of the Indian State failed the Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990; they must not do so now, when the dreaded Islamic State (IS) and Geelani and his ilk in Kashmir have disclosed their plan to destroy the cow-worshipers or the Hindus. |
