Jan expresses anguish over delay in release of compensation | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 24: Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan has expressed deep anguish and concern over the lackadaisical attitude of the administration towards the flood sufferers whose properties were damaged due to flash floods and incessant rains over a year ago, saying they are being forced to live under the sky in the ongoing chilly weather. Leading a delegation, Jan submitted a memorandum to the District Development Commissioner, urging him to show some sort of empathy to the sufferers by expediting their relief and compensation cases. Jan also listed various other problems faced by the people in Poonch and sought immediate attention of the administration in solving these. He said the payments to contractors for having completed various works are yet to be released while the payments under MGNREGA are also still pending with the government. Expressing anguish over the delay in the wages of Anganwari workers and helpers, the Provincial Youth National Conference President said the PDP-BJP government took sadistic pleasure in making different segments of society to suffer. "Their only agenda was to rake up controversies and generate passions to hide their failures on every front", Jan said while blaming the PDP for implementing the RSS agenda in the state. |
