Rajouri, Feb 25: Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the parents especially the mother of a new born baby girl who was found abandoned on the roadside on a busy road in close vicinity of District Hospital (DH) Rajouri here today.
According to police sources, the infant, believed to be between five to seven days old, was found by passerby this evening at around 5:00pm when he heard a squeal from the drain.
"On looking in the drain, the individual got surprised when he found an infant wrapped in the clothes but abandoned in the drain. Accordingly the local police was informed and a police party from Police Station Rajouri was rushed to the spot which took the custody of baby girl and immediately got the child admitted in Child Care Unit of the District Hospital Rajouri.
Meanwhile Police have launched a massive hunt to nab parents of the girl particularly the mother of the baby girl. |
