RAMBAN, Apr 5: A driver was killed, when the gas tanker of Bharat Petroleum, he was driving rolled down 100 feet approx into Shalgari Nallah in tehsil Banihal of district Ramban this morning. The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number HR55H-9448 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle plunged into Shalgari Nullah near Chambalwas in tehsil Banihal, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot, retrieved the dead body of the driver and shifted the same to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Younis son of Abdul Ahad resident of village Sakri district Rajouri. A case in this regard has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started. |
