HC directive on municipal polls 4/5/2016 10:52:02 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 5: In a PIL, seeking a direction to hold elections to municipal committees, municipal councils and municipal corporation as per the mandate of J&K Municipal Act 2006 as these were due since 2010, a high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice B S Walia today granted a week's time to CEO (chief electoral officer) to get instructions in this regard. Earlier, the senior AAG, who appeared for CEO, submitted that as per the status report, the final publication of electoral rolls was over on March 31 last.
