Farmers’ deputation calls on Congress leaders, projects demands | | | Early Times Report Ramgarh, Apr 28: Senior Congress leaders including former MP Madan Lal Sharma, former Ministers Raman Bhalla and Manjit Singh today visited residence of block President Capt. Amarnath Bhatti, President Block Congress Committee Vijaypur to condole his sad and untimely demise of who expired at his native village Jard Awtal Ramgarh ten days back. Congress leaders deeply condoled the sad demise of Capt. Amar Nath Bhatti and conveyed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. Paying tributes, Congress leaders said that Capt. Amar Nath Bhatti was the disciplined soldier of the army and after retirement he joined congress and served the party with same dedication. They described him a most dedicated and courageous leader at Block level. His death has created a void which seems unlikely to be filled. After paying condolence, Hundreds of farmers approached senior Congress leaders and highlighted their problems. The farmers claimed that they have been struggling to get their share for irrigation water supply, electricity and drinking water supply. The administration has turned deaf ears to the sufferings of the people which are just demands and it should be fulfilled by the administration since the central government through various schemes has pumped huge money for the welfare of the people," they said, while expressing their sufferings. They said that they have time and again raised the issue of shortage of irrigation water due to which border villages have been suffering especially the tale end villages. |
