2 bovine smugglers nabbed, 11 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 28: As a part of drive against menace of Bovine smuggling, Rajouri Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two bovine smugglers and rescued eleven animals from their clutches from being smuggled to Kashmir valley during a naka at at TCP Thanamandi of Rajouri district. "The accused have been identified as Ab Hafiz s/o Mohd Ishaq of Loorkote and Ghulam Younis s/o Ab Majeed of Chatyari, Rajouri, police said. According to police spokesperson, following specific information, a police party led by SHO P/S Thanamandi Insp Surinder Singh Khadyal under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi Iftqar Talib during the naka checking at intervening night 27/28 at TCP Thanamandi intercepted some persons on walking on foot. "During naka checking Police rescued 06 bovine animals but Bovine smugglers fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness, he said. A Case under FIR No. 53/2016 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA stands registered at P/S Thanamandi and further investigations are on. Similarly: SHO P/S Dharamsal Insp Darshan Singh under the supervision of Addl SP Nowshera Atul Sharma, during intervening night of 27/28 laid a naka at Kurlian Dharamsal. "During naka checking Police arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued five bovine animals. In this connection, Case FIR No.31/2016 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at P/S Dharamsal and investigation going on. |
