| Residential house gutted in fire | | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, May 14: A double story residential house was caught fire at Doligam area of tehsil Banihal district Ramban yesterday evening. According of the officials the house belongs to Mohammad Aslam, Abdul Qayoom and Mohammad Yousf Lone of Tantaya Pora, Doligam. Officials further said on getting the information army jawans and officers of 12 Rashtriya Rifles from nearby army camp led by Major Vishwanath Kambalimath with fire fighting in system douse the fire initially. Later Fire Service, Red Cross volunteers from Banihal town and police party joined the rescue operation. Efforts of joint rescue team especially army jawans first reach the spot and starts the rescue and they got controlled on fire. The three rescue jawans of army also receive the burn injuries during the rescue operation. Locals of the area thanked the army jawans and it's officers .they also thanked the Fire services who lay the one kilometer long water pipe for the rescue. The efforts of army and other rescue team stop the fire and save the other house of this residential area. Station House Officer (SHO) Banihal Nazir Dar said that the rescue operation long around 2 to 3 hours after which the rescue team control the fire. |
