Lodges FIR against people for 'disturbing' him | Public servant turns dictator | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 14: In yet another instance of a public servant turning into a "dictator" the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Samba has lodged a FIR against the delegation of people who went to his office to know why only three teachers, out of sanctioned strength of 11 teachers, were posted at Middle School Kuli in Purmandal zone. Sources told Early Times that a delegation of around ninety persons comprising Panchs, Sarpanchs and others called on the officer and apprised him about the difficulties being faced by their wards in absence of the teachers. They also told the CEO that school is without a Head Master for the past three years. Irked by the deputation entering into his office and apprising him about the situation the CEO got an FIR lodged against the delegation on the charges of disrupting the government official from performing his duty. As soon as the word about the official lodging a FIR against the delegation spread the people of the area met the DC Samba and apprised him about the facts. A senior police officer when contacted said that a deputation of people led by Saleem Choudhary, ex-PDP district president and member Gujjar Bakarwal advisory board, have been booked under section 353 RPC in Samba police station on the basis of complaint lodged by the Chief Education Officer Samba. However, repeated attempts to contact Director Education Jammu and CEO Samba for their comments went in a vain. |
