| PCC's Co-Treasurer hold meeting at Bani | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 14: A monthly review meeting of Congress Party was conducted by Rajnish Sharma (Mian), Co-Treasurer of Jammu and Kasmhir Pradesh Congress Committee at Bani town to understand the hardships being faced by people falling under BPL category due to non issuance of ration to them for the last six months.
According to press release, after interacting with the people of the area that are falling under BPL category, Rajnish Sharma was given to understand that even when ration was supplied to them, the quality of ration particularly wheat was extremely bad and was inedible. Some people had even fallen ill after consuming it.
Sharma was further informed that since there is no Petrol/Diesel Pump in Bani Town, the agency nominated for distribution, has been selling it at higher rates, thereby adding to the misery and hardships of the common man.
They further demanded that the construction of college building be started immediately, since it was sanctioned long back. The staff and the college students were facing lot of hardships because of no proper building and the students had to attend the classes in a temporary arrangement. |
