| No Entry barricades turning 'resting place' none cares | | |  Early Times Report
Poonch, May 14: Be it lackadaisical approach of traffic authorities of utilizing its resources at right place ot casual approach of common people but the traffic barricades ironically are becoming resting place to bask in the cozy sun in Poonch city these days.
It may sound odd to many but the a cursory look at a traffic barricade near Poonch General Bus Stand virtually shall make sane person to wonder enough as the people are using the barricade as a bench in public park to bask in the sun.
Situated just only ten meters from main Bus Stand Poonch, a 'no entry board' has been placed to indicate one way traffic but in the absence of a cop the same has reduced to the bench for commoners and it is not an isolated incident when a picture was clicked but this practice has become a routine, none cares.
"The concerned authorities are least bothered after placing a barricade whether the caution at the barricade is being obeyed or not," locals said, adding, "as there seem no cop/policemen the people having their day."
However the traders and locals residing near Bus Stand Poonch are resenting the casual approach of law enforcing agency and said that many people violating the one way traffic sign become nuisance for the public in the one way traffic zone, they not only cause traffic congestion but also make the pedestrians vulnerable to accident as pedestrian don't expect a vehicle from the side which is restricted. |
