| NIFD to support in YCET Tech Fest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 17: The National Institute of Fashion Designing (NIFD) to support the Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) in its upcoming Technical Festival "Nirvikalpa-2K16" in the college premises from May 17 to 18 as outfit partner.
Today they showcased a preview of the upcoming fashion show under the title "Summer Sensation" at their campus
The premiere designing institute of Jammu will provide its costumes to the models who would walk of ramp during the mega event. The dresses designed by NIFD students would be worn by models in categories of traditional, indo-western and formal.
In traditional dress, the women models will wear lehangas and sarees while male models will adorn sherwani with trousers and dhotis. In indo-western category, new styles of kaftans and capes will be worn by women models. The color palate our forcasted to be pastels blue and beige to give a soothing effect for summers.
The students of the institute have worked hard for preparing dresses for models for the coveted event of YCET and that too in a short period of time of just 10 days.
Since last two years NIFD has already supported as outfit partner to Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in which many constumes including traditional and western of the designing institute were utilised in the event. Same support was provided to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra too.
Head of the institute, Vanita Thakur said the motive behind providing support to educational institutes as outfit partner was to showcase the creativity of the students on the dress they prepare so that they will be widely appreciated and she is happy with type of enthusiasm her students have worked under pressure. |
