Pvt school bus driver thrashes with local over a tiff 5/17/2016 10:50:52 PM MS NAZKI Early Times Report Mendhar, May 17: A driver working with a local private school today allegedly thrashed a driver of tractor here on Tuesday after their heated arguments took ugly turn which involved villagers also. Police registered case in this regard. Reports said, " Tractor driver identified namely as Basit Ahmed s/o Mohd Shabir a local from mendhar was carrying a 'thrasher' on his tractor trolley got involved in argument with the accused driver when the bus driver engaged by Public Higher Secondary School Mendhar school tried to overtake but failed due to narrow road. "While failing in several attempts he stopped the bus and abused the trolley driver justified his case saying that he was carrying 'thrasher' on his tractor and any misadventure could tilt the trolley, an eyewitness said. He added, not satiufied with replies of tractor driver, the irked school Bus driver and students started beating the tractor driver. Later the villagers and school staff and students also got involved in the melee and started hurling claims and counter claims. Later students stage protest and blocked the Mendhar Poonch Road. Local alleged the chairman of the school Mohd Younus was responsible for the ugly episode who could have asked his faculty and students to refrain from taking law into their hands. On receiving the information of scuffle between students and locals, SDPO Mendhar Sahid Naeem and SHO Mendhar Anzar Mir reached the spot and pacified the school students and staff who had blocked the main road of Mendhar. Meanwhile SDPO Shahid Naeen told Early Times that a case under FIR No 62/2016 stands registered oin this regard.
