Patanjli Yogpeeth to start weekly yoga shiver | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 17: Patanjli Yogpeeth Haridwar is going to start a weekly Yoga shiver as a part of his Research Based Nationwide campaign for Obesity Management. Several Research Studies confirmed that obese persons not only remain a high risk to develop metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes mellitus but they are also at risk of developing cardiovascular disease, stroke osteoarthritis and several types of cancer. With this background and blessings of His Holiness Swami Ramdevji and Acharaya Balkrishanaji, Patanjali Research Foundation along with Patanjali Yog Samitis has initiated a nationwide program to manage the increasing problem of obesity and its complications. For this pilot project 60 districts of all over country are selected and Jammu is one among them. This research based program launched on 15th April 2016 Ramnavami Day. In the series of this special Shiver Program, two days 22nd and 23rd, May 2016 are selected and 100 persons for two groups have been chosen (50 for the experimental group and 50 for the control group). The place decided for this Jammu shiver is SanSan Banquet Hall near Narayan Chiktstalaya, Kunjwani Talab, Jammu. The participants of the experimental group will receive yoga practice and dietary advice or dietary advice alone each participant will be assessed at baseline, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and at 12 months for both groups. The form for the registration available at Narayan Chiktsalaya, Kunjwani Talab, Jammu. The duly filled forms completed in all respects submitted from May 18 to 22, 2016 at Narayan Chiktsalaya, Kunjwani Jammu from 10AM to 5PM. The weekly Yoga Shiver is from May 24 to 30, 2016.
