Jammu sizzles at 45 deg C | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 17: There seems to be no end to the relentless blazing hot weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir. Particularly, the parts of winter capital are reeling under severe heatwave conditions. Mercury has also surpassed 45-degree mark over few pockets of these states, making the weather unbearable. According to Skymet Weather, we do not expect any respite from the ongoing scorching heat for at least week. In absence of any weather system, hot and dry northwesterly winds will continue to blow over entire plains of Northern India. The Maximum temperature recorded this morning in Jammu has reached 45 degrees while in Srinagar, it is 27 degrees and the mercury is expected to keep rising over the next few days. The scorching heat wave have brought the normal life in Jammu city to a grinding halt as most of people were off the streets in the comfort of coolers and air conditioners at homes. Weatherman said the heat waves are likely to abate in Jammu |
