Pak national held on IB while ex-filtrating | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 20: Alert Border Security Force (BSF) today claimed to have arrested a Pakistani National at International Border in Arnia Sector on Thursday while he was trying to ex-filtrate towards other side. The identity of the arrested has been established as Jahid Farooq (30) and was arrested in the Indian side, when he was trying to ex-filtrate to Pakistan. Official BSF spokesperson said that alert troops of BSF apprehended a Pakistani National near International Border in Arnia Sector yesterday afternoon while he was moving under suspicious circumstances near International Border (IB). "During preliminary questioning the apprehended Pak national revealed that he was apprehended by the Indian Army troops in early April 2006 along with Mohammad Imran of Faislabad, Pakistan when he entered into India through Line of Control (LoC) under PS Khour, Tehsil Akhnoor." "Jahid revealed that he was convicted by the Court and undergone 28 months of imprisonment in Jail. After being released from jail Individual managed to slip and went to Mumbai, spokesperson said while quoting the arrested Pak national. He added, As per versions of apprehended pak national thereafter the individual returned soon to Amritsar, stayed there in a civilian house on rent and worked as a laborer for last few years." "Few days back, he returned to Jammu via Vyas and on Thursday after noon, he was found moving suspiciously in border area, BSF said, adding, "alert BSF troops kept his activities under surveillance and once he reached nearby area of Border out Post (BoP), inquired his identity. "On this suspect immediately ran towards Border Fence at International Boundary where he was overpowered by alert BSF troops, BSF spokesperson said adding, "the apprehended Pakistani person has been handed over to the Police Station R S Pura for further questioning." |
