Resentment brews among BJP's displaced district activists | State leadership accused of betrayal | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 22: With the induction of new faces in BJP Displaced District, there is a lot of resentment among the party cadres against the leadership for side-lining senior and deserving cadres which always stood by it and even worked under hostile conditions in Kashmir Valley. The growing resentment among the party cadres of displaced district is a cause of concern among the party leaders also. They have taken banner of revolt against the party leadership alleging that their services were totally ignored while announcing office bearers as those faces were given preference who were not even associated with the party for some period or have switched over to it from NC or Congress. The party cadres accuse State president Sat Sharma and general secretary (org) Ashok Kaul of doing total injustice with them and ignoring their services and role over the years. The outsiders were given preference and those activists who built the party by brick and brick were totally neglected and ignored, the sources said. Sources said these activists have decided to bring the issue in the notice of Party High Command at Delhi and a delegation will leave for Union Capital within one or two days to apprise them of the state of functioning in the organization. Sources said these activists have also expressed their serious resentment before the Mr Sharma and Mr Kaul but instead of settling the issue they preferred to maintain a stoic silence which has now forced them to move to Union Capital and knock the doors of senior leaders at Delhi. Some of the activists have informed the State leadership that they have ignored their loyal services to the party and people over the years and preferred those persons who were in search of green pastures always as they were linked to NC, Congress or even PDP when these parties were in power. They shifted loyalty to BJP only after the party came to power and otherwise they have no interest in its ideology. These cadres have made it clear to State leadership that if BJP will also act like Congress, NC and PDP then how can be it called a party with difference. |
