JTC, SKF express concern over changing name of Hari Parbat | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 25: Jagti Tenement committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) jointly held a meeting in which they expressed their grave concern over changing the original name of Hari Parbat as Kohi- Maran, which has hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu Community of the India in general and the Kashmiri Pandit Community in particular. Shadi Lal Pandita has said that changing the names of Historical religious places in Kashmir shows the failure of the collation government of PDP and BJP. He said that the efforts are being made to extinguish the identity of the Hinduism in Kashmir valley. While addressing, the participants Pandita has warned state and union government and also Tourism Department for desisting from such statements of changing the names of the Historical Religious Places. It has been said that the Kashmiri Pandit Community is living in exile for past more than 26 years and yet steps have not been taken for safe return of the migrant community and their rehabilitation in satellite townships despite the fact that the community is very much interested in their return and rehabilitation in Kashmir valley in safe and secure places for their dignified and peaceful living. The Government has been asked to explain as to why Prime Ministers Employment package announced during the year 2008 has not yet been implemented in letter and spirit. The government has been enjoined upon to ensure fulfilling the remaining posts under PM's employment Package at an earliest. It has been said that in case the government fails to fulfill the genuine demands of the Migrant Community the community shall be left with no alternative but to come on roads for agitation. Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, R K Raina, Raj Kumar Bhat, Hari Krishan Pandita, Shuban Ji Raina and SL Kar were also present during the meeting. |
