'Govt must come clear on KP, Sainik colonies' | | | Majid Nabi Early Times Report srinagar, May 25: The ideological difference between the coalition partners have emboldened the foes hell-bent on rupturing the alliance with Kashmir valley likely to become the 'epicenter' of probable commotion in near future. On one hand BJP and PDP did not listen to anyone and formed the government after hectic deliberations between the two sides before and after the death of former Chief Minister, Mufti Sayeed while on the other coalition partner's lack of understanding prompted rivals to take advantage out of disarray. Differentiation as far as politics is concerned is anticipated, however the way PDP and BJP deals with the situation shows apparent deviation between them in terms of ideas and plans. "Being a representative is extremely difficult, as far as the government formation was considered BJP and PDP by hook or by crook managed to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir, but given the diverse philosophy between the alliance partners undoubtedly strengthen the foes," a well known political analyst wishing anonymity told 'Early Times'. He said that the centers proposal of establishing separate Pandit and Sainik colonies in Kashmir was blown out of proportion by the opposition parties and the valley based separatist groups who seem to be busy in mobilizing people for next round of agitation, while government seems helpless to deal with the situation. "If the government has any proposal vis-à-vis rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits or establishment of separate sainik colonies then the people sitting on helm of affairs should not keep any hidden, they should come clear on the policy without seeking any advices," he added. He claimed that in case the alliance partners did not mend their ways and works with sync, coalition will definitely break. "If they could not work with harmony, I cannot say as to when the alliance breaks into pieces, on one hand opposition parties without any uproar are repairing dents caused to their image, while on the other separatists are devising strategy for next phase of agitation," he said, adding they (PDP-BJP) should not act as child but do something concrete on ground if they really want to govern the state. Pertinent to mention here that the centers proposal to establish separate colonies for Kashmiri Pandits and retired army officials evoked varied response from opposition parties who accused the government of double standards and circuitously supported separatists in exploiting the situation. "They should not succumb before pressure tactics instead they should take serious notes of the prevailing situation and do something concrete," he said. |
