| Tasaduq Mufti makes silent entry in state politics | | |

Srinagar, May 25: Following a countrywide tradition to hold fort after his father, Tasaduq Mufti is making a silent entry in state politics by exposing himself among people at different junctures.
Tasaduq, son of former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Muhammad Syed according to highly placed sources without any formal announcement is already in state politics as he handles important administrative issues, meets delegations and invites people to suggest him on matters related to state.
After the demise of his father, Tasaduq a cinematographer by profession made his first public appearance on Tuesday at the inauguration function of Zero-Bride with his sister and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir ,Mehbooba Mufti.
Sources said that Tasaduq handles administrative issues forwarded to him by his friends related to Health sector and makes officials accountable for negligence in dealing with public issues in time bound manner.
In two such cases recently forwarded to him, Tasaduq personally called concerned officials and sought time bound solution of issues from them to silent public hue and cry.
Tasaduq, sources said is keen to contribute in environmental issue of state and is meeting people in this regard to seek suggestions from them and frame a policy to save dying water bodies and preserve heritage sites.
"He has family and friends from his education life in Kashmir who are these days in touch with him to guide him on matters neglected by successive governments, it also helps him to meet new people to build strong support base for him for future times to come."Sources said They said that he also meets delegations of Trade, Apple industry, tourism sector which reach to Fairview residence of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to redress their problems where Tasaduq by intervening suggest suitable measures to them and assure complete assistance from government.
Earlier after the demise of his father,Tasaduq also met entrepreneurs during their meeting with Mehbooba Mufti and shared some success stories with them to encourage them.
Sources said that Tasaduq may be added in state cabinet in coming years as well to help him pave way for him to make inroads for his personak political career in Jammu and Kashmir.
One section of PDP according to sources is keen to contest vacant south Kashmir Lok Sabha seat with Tasaduq Mufti, however keeping in view tough competition this time another senior lobby wants to go with any other senior leader like Abdul Rehman Veeri or Sartaj Madni instead Tasaduq to keep the seat in kitty.
Tasaduq is one among many families of Indian politics who receive politics as their ancestral legacy and enjoy power without struggling too much for it.
In state politics he is second after Omar Abdullah who made entry in state politics to hold fort and is likely to become a political leader by choice not chance like Rahul Gandhi and sons of Lalu Prasad Yadhav. |
