KAS Officers Association elections on July 18 5/29/2016 11:32:52 PM Early Times Report SRINAGAR, MAY 29: An extraordinary meeting of KAS Officers Association was held in which, besides office bearers, a large number of KAS officers participated. In the said meeting, various issues confronting the KAS fraternity were discussed. The prominent issue which was discussed is relating to the conduct of elections for electing new body. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that elections shall be held tentatively around 18th of July 2016. In order to conduct the elections smoothly, it was decided to appoint one Election Officer and two Returning Officers one each from Jammu and Kashmir divisions. The issue regarding membership of Junior KAS and left out officers from combined services, as already endorsed by General Body in its meeting held in the month of April, was also discussed and it was informed that in order to become a part of the electioneering process including voting right they shall have to obtain formal membership.
