Traffic SI placed under suspension ET IMPACT 5/29/2016 11:49:51 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 29: Taking cognizance of the news story "Traffic Cops caught on camera allegedly extracting bribe from truckers" published in Early Times on Sunday, the Police have placed a Sub Inspector under suspension. The DySP Traffic City South Jammu (vide his office's reference No. Dy.S.P. TCSJ/SDH-NKA/16/318 dated 29-05-2016) has stated that the confession of SPO Parveet Kumar No.888/SPOJ deployed at Sidhra Naka it appears that something fishy was taking place there which is highly objectionable and amounts to misconduct, indiscipline, misuse of official position 'for taking illegal gratification. "Such activities on the part of policemen tarnish the image JK Police in general and Traffic Police in particular. The SI, Sunil Kumar, No. EXK-985506 incharge of Sidhra Naka failed to control the cops deployed there also speaks about lack of supervision as well as carelessness and dereliction towards his legitimate duties which warrants a departmental proceeding against him. In view of the above charges Sunil Kumar No. EXK-985506 is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect. He is entitled to draw subsistence allowances as admissible under rules from time to time. He is directed to report TPL City Jammu immediately and deposit all uniform articles in stores.
