Babus get power 24X 7 at Vijaypur, hospital reels under darkness PDD pays no heed to Ministers direction 6/30/2016 11:09:41 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 30: Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur has not been provided special power line for the past one decade while the Police Station Vijaypur, SDM Office, PHE Xen Office are getting the electricity round the clock. Sources told Early Times that Government Hospital Vijaypur was established 10-years ago but till date special power line which is mandatory, has not been provided by Power Development Department (PDD) to the health institution due to unknown reasons. "Despite knowing the importance of the hospital which caters to huge population, PDD has ignored the fact that twenty four hours electricity is essential for the health institution to conduct various tests including radiology tests and most important for conducting operations during emergency cases," they informed. Astonishingly, the SDM office Vijaypur which was established just a year ago managed to get special power line while PHE Xen office has also been enjoying 24X7 power for the past many years. The hospital administration has time and again approached the PDD to provide special power line to the hospital. On many occasions electricity gets snapped when surgeries are on. Although for backup power solar power system has been installed in the hospital but same is out of order due to some technical snag in and its has not been fixed till date. Interestingly, the issue was also brought into the notice of concerned BJP MLA and Minister nearly three months ago for its immediate resolution who had directed the PDD official to provide special power line to the hospital but nothing has been done till date and the direction of the Minister has remained confined to papers only.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
