Jammu, June 30: The city police today claimed to have recovered 25 motorcycles, which a vehicle lifter had allegedly stolen from SMGS hospital at Shalamar and some city areas.
A police spokesman said under operation 'Chetak', a police team led by SI Mohammad Rashid, in-charge of police post, SMGS hospital, Jammu, caught suspect Kamalpreet Singh, son of Harbans Lal of Chak Shiyian, Miran Sahib.
During his sustained questioning, he allegedly confessed to have stolen 25 motorcycles from SMGS hospital and other city areas.
On the basis of disclosures made by him, police had recovered all the 25 stolen motorcycles from different places of Jammu, the spokesman said. |
