Tension grips Rajouri after sacrilegious act 6/30/2016 11:33:40 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, June 30: Residents of Khadarian village in Kalakote tehsil in Rajouri district along with inhabitants of Kalakot town and other parts of the tehsil staged a massive protest at Kalakote against an alleged sacrilegious act committed by some unidentified persons. Sources said on Wednesday night some unidentified persons tried to foment trouble in the area by pitting members of the two communities against each other by committing a sacrilegious act. This led to residents taking to the streets and staging massive protest. Every effort of Atul Sharma, ASP and Khalid Hussain,SDM failed to pacify the protesters who were raising slogans against the SHO and local MLA. Later Deputy Commissioner ShabirAhmed Bhat, and Rajeshwar Singh ,SSP rushed to Kalakote and held detailed talks with the people. After long deliberations DC and SSP assured the protesters that stringent action would taken against the unidentified persons who, according to them, deliberately attempted to disturb the peace and tranquility in the area. "Whosoever is involved in this sacrilegious act would soon be put behind the bars and stringent action would be taken against him. Some anti-social elements have become active in the district to disturb peace and police have been directed to keep tight vigil on the activities of anti-social/national elements" said Deputy Commissioner.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
