Villages without road connectivity appeal CM to intervene | | | Early times report
Rajouri, July 23: Although several schemes have been initiated by the union as well as state government to create better road connectivity, two villages with more then7 thousands population in Chatyar Dhanwan,and Lowerkote of Rajouri district are still without road connectivity, the report says. According to residents of area, the process for construction roads which would have connected three villages Chatyar, Lowerkote ,and Dhanwankote some 15 years ago but the same still confines only in papers. "We are being discriminated by both the district administration and the public representative ,despite repeated request for over two decades for road connectivity to these villages as governments have failed to respond, the locals lamented ,adding that in adjoining areas number of roads have been constructed or under union government's flagship program Pardhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in tehsil Rajouri "We have submitted a memorandum to concerned MLA ,Executive Engineer PWD ,R&B Rajouri but all in vain, " said a resident of village Chatyar ,lowerkote Dhanwankote adding they are left with no option but to take to roads. In a fervent appeal to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti the local have sought her intervention in the matter so that the residents can get a bit of respite from more suffering. |
