BJP ministers' skip "Balidan Divas" of Kuldeep Verma | | | Early Times Report jammu, July 23: "Martyr" Kuldeep Verma, whose sacrifice had given impetus to 2008 Amarnath Land agitation, had virtually being abandoned by the so-called pro-Hindu party, BJP because none of the party minister attended his "Balidan Divas", which was observed by the party today only as a customary function. It is known to very one in Jammu region that BJP emerged as biggest political force all due to the sacrifice of Kuldeep Verma but after getting power, BJP leadership has forgotten the martyr and ignored his family. Today was Verma's martyr day, only a customary Havan was organised in which no senior leader except state president, Sat Sharma and state general secretary Ashok Koul was present. Even the local MLAs, who got their status all due to the martyr of Verma skipped the function because they do not want to participate in any such function. Credible sources in the BJP said that none of the senior party leader was aware of the martyr day of Kuldeep Verma. It was only a junior but dedicated leader, who informed the party about Verma's martyr day that BJP in a hush hush manner organised a Havan to pay tributes to late Verma. Some MLAs, sources revealed, were informed about the function but they deliberately skipped the function. Credible sources further said some MLAs rather suggested the party leadership not to organise such controversial function which send wrong messages among coalition partner. Meanwhile according to handout issued by the party, on the Balidan Divas of Kuldeep Verma, a martyr of 2008 Amarnath land row Jammu West District President Ayodhya Gupta organised a programme at Kachi Chawni. BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul and other leaders took part in a hawan and later paid their tributes.
