HC grants time to file response over higher air fares | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 23: A high court division bench of first puisine judge Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B S Walia today granted two weeks time to the authorities concerned to file a response over the exorbitant fares being charged by the air companies. The court directive came in a PIL, highlighting the high air fare allegedly being charged by airlines from Jammu to other destinations and seeking a cap on air fare and make airlines accountable for the delay of flights from Jammu. The ASGI submitted that the issues raised in the PIL were under active consideration of the department of civil aviation and several other departments were also being consulted. After hearing the two sides, the court granted two weeks time to the authorities concerned to file a detailed response in this regard. (JNF) |
