Jammu, Aug 9: The state government had spent crores of rupees to establish new Industrial Estate at Dandi, Bhaderwah but 10 years after its establishment not a single unit is functioning here, which clearly indicates that how much previous as well as incumbent government is interested to promote Micro and Small Scale Industrial Units across JK. Pleading anonymity, an official of Department of Industries and Commerce told Early Times that the Industrial Estate Dandi, Bhaderwah has a total of 60 kanal land having 19 plots out of which a single plot land measuring 16 kanal was allotted with the help of former Chief Minister to for manufacturing unit of the juice products. "The former Chief Minister also helped the said industry owner to get loan with the intention of bringing Bhaderwah which is his home constituency on Industrial map of the state with the motive of increasing employment opportunities but all in vain after lapse of consecutive time period the unit is still incomplete", sources said, adding that other plots were also allotted but yet no other unit is functioning. At present Cattle's and other animals are roaming inside the incomplete industry complex of the unit. "It was not possible to provide job in public sector for everyone, keeping in mind, the union government had launched various schemes for entrepreneurs but the state government and their administration has not interested to implement in it", sources said, adding that recently Prime Minister Narandra Modi has asked all state governments to promote Micro & Small Scale Industrial Units, so that the large army of unemployed educated youth of state could be benefited but their own party ministers in state is throwing spanner in PM's efforts because, the industrial estate already established have lack of power supply and other facilities. |
