SOS international organizes massive rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 21: In its series of holding rallies in various parts of Jammu Division, S. O. S. International,an organisation for PoK displaced persons today organized a massive rally at Rehari in Jammu. Thousands of PoK Displaced Persons attended the rally and lauded S. O. S. International Chairman, Rajiv Chuni for his continuous efforts for raising the cause of displaced persons. While addressing the rally, Chuni said that talks of vacating PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) is echoing in political and civil corridors of country, adding Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has been talking especially vacating PoK which has utmost importance. Since beginning, we have been saying that if there is any nerve centre between India and Pakistan that is PoK which has been illegally occupied by Pakistan, said , adding that for the last 7 decades, the Human Rights violation of PoK Refugees is rampant as they left their all those things behind which are quite essential for survival of any individual and nothing have been returned even after exile from their native places. He further said that various committees, commissions were constituted but the reports of these bodies were never honoured adding, if one Government made committees and commissions to look into the matter of PoK Refugees, the next Government used to dissolve them. In the way, PoK refugees were exploited by one and other way by Governments. The issue of PoK Refugees is a humane issue and it must be resolved with utmost kindness but till today nothing has been done. During elections, tall promises were made which include permanent settlement of PoK Refugees, reservation to the wards in professional and technical institutions across India, reservation to unemployed youths in Government jobs and many more but after elections PoK Refugees felt embittered. |
