'Hum Ko Abh Tak Ashiqui Ka Woh Zamana Yaadh Hai' | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 21: Even as former Chief Minister and National Conference working President Omar Abdullah dared social welfare minister, Sajad Gani Lone to sit back in his Handwara constituency for two days and hold rally, the latter has dragged the war of words further. Last evening Sajad launched a veiled attack on the National Conference Spokesman Junaid Azim Mattu. Junaid, who started his political career as spokesman of Sajad Gani Lone's Peoples Conference, left the party in 2013 and joined National Conference. While Junaid has been issuing fiery statements against the ruling coalition, taking advantage of the unrest, Sajad found it ideal to launch an attack on his former colleague. "I too miss powerful pieces written by a young brother. So critical he was of NC as they ruled and ruined. Wonder who he was. 2010 it was," Sajad tweeted hinting at Junaid. But within moments Sajad started facing public fury. Many of the netizens accused him of being a turncoat. "One monkey must not blame another monkey for a red back because both have the same," someone tweeted online. Many said Sajad was equally being remembered for his similar statements. "Jinab Separatist camps miss their brother who would swear putting hand on Holy Quran till around 2008 at pressers. But then he changed. People remember his words, his commitment, his swearing in the last being at General Zorawar auditorium in Jammu to take oath as Cabinet minister. They remember his annoyance for PDP turned into love for PDP. People remember many brothers... Hum Ko Abh Tak aashique Ka Woh Zamana Yaadh Hai," commented a netizen. |
