Infiltration bid foiled in Tangdhar, three militants killed 8/21/2016 11:04:43 PM S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report Kupwara, Aug 21: three unidentified militants were killed today in an encounter with security forces near LoC in Tangdar area of Kupwara District in north Kashmir. A top police official told Early Times that, a group of 3-4 militants had infiltrated this side of Line of Control (LoC) in this district. "Army foiled an infiltration bid in Tangdhar area of this distriickly added that there identification has not been ascertained yet, but huge arms and ammunitions have been recovered from the site of encounter. Three unidentified militants were killed in the initial gun battle, while as there was an information that a solider has received splinter injuries, the official said. However sources said that , security forces began a search operation today after they received specific information about the presence of 4-6 LeT militants have recently infiltrated from other side of Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district. Meanwhile SSP Kupwara, Shamsheer Singh confirmed to early times that, three militants have been killed today afternoon in an an encounter with security forces in Tangdar area.
