AIU holds meeting at association office 8/29/2016 11:22:08 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Aug 29: A meeting of Association of Industries Udhampur was held under the president ship of Udhayveer Singh at the office of Association. On the occasion the owners of different industrial unit along with the people who has allotted been industrial plot at Battal Ballian industrial area were present. Speaking on the occasion the senior vice president Raghubir Gandotra said that Battal Ballian industrial area is one of the backward industrial area of J&K, where road are in worst condition, lights are not properly functioning and 90% of drains of this area are blocked. As information acquired by association, in Battal Ballian industrial area 183 industrial plot has been allotted for the last 20 years. Out of this 70 industrial units are still functioning, 15 units are sick and approx 98 industrial unit cannot start their work . No doubt association welcomed the decision taken by SICOP department for cancelation of 40 plots by notification in local news paper and website of SICOP. But inspite of this the association demands the entire industrial related department to sit together and think why a large number of people cannot establish their units, what is the actual reason behind this. Few month before some unit holder of this area started their work but due to govt. negligence, Corruption in industrial related department and lack of coordinating between these department the people cannot continuous their work. Also few month before a single window meeting which is held on DC office Udhampur the electric department refuse to provide electricity to those unit holder who are interested to start their unit.
