Grameen Bank organizes awareness programme on Financial Inclusion 8/29/2016 11:23:42 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 29: Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank in collaboration with NABARD today organizes awareness programme on Financial Inclusion here at village Galbadde. RS Billawaria, Area Manager Jammu, who was the chief guest on the occasion emphasized on Education and Housing loans. Principal of Indira Memorial Higher Secondary School, Vijay Kumar was guest of honour and appreciated the tremendous efforts of the bank towards customer awareness. Vipan Gupta, Manager MF&FI Department J&K Grameen Bank informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch. He made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme) in which the premium rates to be paid by the farmers have been brought down substantially so as to enable more farmers avail insurance cover against crop loss on account of natural calamities and thrust is also given on activation of RuPay card. The students of the school have actively participated in the programme. Besides huge gathering Panchs, Sarpanchs of the area also attended the said camp.
